How does GuruStorms work?
Step 1: Choose a client, customer or colleague to work with.
All you need to do is provide their name and email address -- we'll take care of the rest.
Step 2: Describe how you want to help.
Next, outline the issue you are offering to help with, giving a detailed explanation of the problem and a set of objectives for your engagement. What do you want to help them accomplish? You'll also identify how long you want your engagement to last, and how much you are requesting for your efforts, either as a financial reward or as a contribution to the charity of your choice. (Remember, a Guru can even offer to help for free.) Your client will either agree, decline, or respond with a counteroffer to your proposal.
Step 3: Start your engagement.
Once the terms are agreed on and the engagement is funded, you can start providing expert advice, creating as many virtual whiteboard discussions as are needed to help. Additional participants can also be added to the engagement to provide new insights and perspectives on the issue.
Step 4: Finish the GuruStorm.
Once the work and duration of the GuruStorm has completed, it can be closed by you or the client and the payment disbursed. The client can also provide a review of the engagement, giving a one to five star rating and also a written evaluation of the expert advice you provided.
